The Mill stands tall and unwavering through the many changes it has seen during its 80 years at Britannia Beach. Today it is not simply a building, but a National Historic Site that reflects the values of this community, the mining industry and the BC Museum of Mining.
The Mill represents the importance of caring about and preserving history. Through it we can understand and celebrate the past, enhance the present and ensure a bright future. At Britannia Beach the museum and its partners have worked hard to revitalize this community, and their accomplishments are reflected in the civic pride for the Mill.
The Mill truly is the heart of the community, and upon its restoration, it will beat strongly again in all its glory.
